Standard PPI rates:
Domestic/Asian cars & trucks: $600
European cars & trucks: $650
Exotic/high performance vehicles: $800

That's kind of a lot of money...what do I get for that?

During an IDB PPI, we perform a thorough check on all major systems, the body and chassis, the suspension, the brakes, the engine, and more. We will connect an OEM or OE-equivalent diagnostic machine to the vehicle and perform a full diagnostic test of all vehicle systems. We'll check the status of the emissions monitors to see if any check engine lights have been cleared recently, and to see if any problems or faults are pending but haven't shown up yet. We'll do a thorough inspection of the vehicle to detect any collision or paint repair, and attempt to uncover any issues that have been hidden or covered up. We then write that all up in a nifty little report for you, lining out exactly what we found and exactly what you can expect to get with the vehicle.

Not only do we give the buyer a report of any existing conditions, but also a sense of what expenses may be coming in the near future and how the car was maintained in the past. Our pre-purchase report also gives the buyer a bargaining tool in negotiating a final price for purchase.

At IDB RACING - REPAIR - RESTORATION we know how important peace of mind is when making a pre-owned purchase. A few hundred dollars is a small price to pay when it could be the only thing separating you from THOUSANDS of dollars in potential repairs!

APPOINTMENTS ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL PRE-PURCHASE INSPECTION SERVICES!
The pre-purchase inspection process is an involved one, and our efficiency depends on us having enough time to properly inspect and assess the vehicle. Our facility operates on an appointment-only basis for all of our services in order to guarantee that we are able to spend adequate time with each and every customer's vehicle, so that we can ensure that each vehicle is diagnosed and/or fixed properly the first time. Because of this and the time necessary to properly and thoroughly inspect a vehicle inside and out, we require at least 24-hour notice for pre-purchase inspections. "Same day" or "last minute" inspections are doable, however they will incur an additional charge.
